Quick gouache painting (trying to learn how to use it). I’ve been obsessing over Nixon’s face after seeing my friend Penny’s movie Our Nixon a few weeks ago.
Thanks to everyone who made it out last night to the Old Wives’ Lies opening reception! We polished off twice the gallery’s usual wine ration in under two hours, so I guess that means it was a success. For everyone who couldn’t make it, the show is open daily until November 3rd.

A little snapshot of my piece installed for Old Wives’ Lies, which opens tonight at AG Gallery in Williamsburg (107-A N3rd, at Berry). It’s the first show I’ve curated, everything in it is great, and if you’re in New York you should come on out! It’s up until November 3rd (the dates the gallery initially gave me were a little off), so there’s plenty to time to stop by and spend a little more time with the art if you can’t make the opening reception.
The group show I’ve been putting together opens next Friday the 13th–31 amazing artists exploring misconceptions they have as a result of their childhood relationship with folklore. It’s up for two months, so there’s plenty of time to see it if you can’t make it to the opening reception!

I’m curating a group show that opens September 13th in Williamsburg, I’m starting on a couple new pieces for it now. Here’s the start of a hanging sculpture titled “Revive the Dead.” There’s a good chance I’ll ruin it when I start to paint it, but at least there’s some record of the fact that I went so far as to make quills out of copper wire.

This is a snapshot of my painting from the opening night of My Generation at Mayson Gallery. I haven’t gotten to properly photograph, it but this gets the general idea of it across even if it’s at an angle and not perfectly lit.

Finally premiering this puppy in the group show My Generation at Mayson Gallery in the Lower East Side. The opening reception is on Wednesday from 6-8 pm, at 154 Broome Street.
